IT4Kids Foundation is now an official participant of Social Organizations in Sports

IT4Kids Foundation Joins Social Organizations in Sports (MOS). IT4Kids, which creates sustainable sports opportunities for financially and physically vulnerable children in the Netherlands, has officially joined as a participant of Social Organizations in Sports (MOS). MOS is a network and umbrella organization focused on promoting equal opportunities and encouraging sports and physical activity participation for everyone in the Netherlands.

MOS targets groups with physical, social, or financial barriers to sports and physical activity and works to get more people moving. IT4Kids’ membership means the foundation is now part of a network of organizations collectively striving for an inclusive society where everyone, regardless of background, has the chance to participate in sports and physical activity. This membership strengthens IT4Kids’ collaboration with other social initiatives that share these values, such as the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture, the Fund for Disabled Sports, the Cruyff Foundation, the National Elderly Fund, and the Esther Vergeer Foundation.

Colette Zee, Director of IT4Kids, is excited about the collaboration: “As a foundation dedicated to the welfare and development of financially and physically vulnerable children, we are proud to be part of MOS. This gives us the opportunity to unite with other charitable organizations to speak with one voice and make an even greater impact on the development of children and a healthier Netherlands.”

About Social Organizations in Sports (MOS)
Social Organizations in Sports (MOS) is a national network of organizations committed to promoting equal opportunities in sports and physical activity. MOS members work together to increase the participation of vulnerable groups in society, with an inclusive approach that uses sports as a tool for social change and the promotion of well-being. MOS is dedicated to providing opportunities for those who may otherwise not have the chance to actively engage in sports and physical activities.

Ruben Buijserd, Director of MOS, is pleased with IT4Kids’ membership: “We value the contribution that IT4Kids makes to an important issue in the Netherlands: we need to invest differently to create equal opportunities. Only then can we close the gap to sports and physical activity for people in vulnerable positions. IT4Kids brings valuable new knowledge and perspectives on equal opportunities within MOS.”

About IT4Kids
IT4Kids believes that every child, regardless of background, should have the chance to participate in structured sports. Unfortunately, this is not a given for many children in the Netherlands due to financial or physical challenges. Yet, sports play a crucial role in a child’s development and vitality. IT4Kids is committed to providing vulnerable children with sustainable sports opportunities in collaboration with charitable partners. IT4Kids makes this possible by collecting outdated hardware from companies, refurbishing it, and donating the proceeds to sports projects.
