IT4Kids fully sponsors the IT4Kids Frame Running Competition
IT4Kids has become the main sponsor of the Frame Running Competition starting this year. After providing valuable financial support to the competition in recent years, IT4Kids is now taking on full sponsorship. Thanks to this partnership, the competition has been given a new name: the IT4Kids Frame Running Competition and the IT4Kids Frame Running Cup. This is an important step towards increasing the accessibility of this unique para-athletics sport and organizing regional competitions in an accessible way.
Thanks to IT4Kids’ financial support, the costs of the Frame Running Competition can be reduced, allowing more regions to organize events. This means that para-athletes can participate in this challenging competition in an accessible and affordable way, contributing to their social, physical, and emotional development.
“The small number of participants per event makes the competition manageable and feasible for athletes, but at the same time results in relatively high costs,” according to the organization. “That’s why we are incredibly grateful for IT4Kids’ support, which makes it possible to further grow this special sport.”
What is Frame Running?
Frame Running is a para-athletics sport in which athletes with a physical disability use a specially designed running frame. This three-wheeled aid, equipped with a chest support and handlebars, enables children and adults to walk or run on an athletics track.
In the Netherlands, more than 50 athletics clubs offer Frame Running, spread across seven regions. The competition gives athletes from various training groups the opportunity to experience competitive sports and compete with other athletes in their region.
IT4Kids Foundation: Creating Sustainable Sports Opportunities
The IT4Kids Foundation is committed to making sports accessible to children who cannot participate due to financial or physical challenges. IT4Kids collects decommissioned hardware from companies and donates its value to charities that provide children with structural sports opportunities. This not only enables children to be active but also helps them develop essential skills such as confidence, respect, teamwork, and discipline: #skills4life.
